The 6 bike rack system is great. I will definitely order another one if my business dictates the need. Easy to take off when.not using it and simple to load the bikes on. I was concerned about it being awkward loading up the bikes. It's easy actually. Just grab the bike by the fork and the frame. I've had this since spring and EASY is the best way to describe it. Easy loading, easy storage.. I could go on.. Great company
Huge fan of Chuck Racks. Seems like the best combination of easy to load, strong enough to hold 6 bikes, while still somehow being light and easy to move around. Approved!
Purchased this hitch splitter from Amazon and was able to attach both buckets giving us twice the carrying capacity. Highway driving is fine as it really didn't add a lot of weight. Also, when attached, both units fit well within dimensions of our midsize SUV so we're not sticking on the sides either. Be careful backing into the garage if your equipment is loaded and make sure you have enough clearance in the opening and once your inside.
Love the chuck bucket - makes it so easy to get up to the mountain & keep the truck nice and clean inside. Highly recommend!

Perfect! Drive Nevada to Park City. It was silent and tucked behind my suv not effecting gas mileage. Heading to the slopes is cake. Pop fear in secure and off you go. No frozen wet stuff in your car.
10/10 would recommend. Purchased a soft top Bronco and needed a hitch solution to carry all of our gear. If you have a 6th Gen Bronco with the Sasquatch package then you’ll NEED a Hitch Drop/Extender Adapter (2" Drop/Riser, 7" to 9" Extension Length) to clear the 35” spare. I was a little worried about the exposed metal rubbing on our gear during long trips, so I added some 1” split insulation on any parts that would potentially rub. The only thing I would improve on this is maybe adding canvas/tarp cover that goes over the Chuck Bucket to keep road grim/salt from getting on the equipment, I currently just wrap a tarp over everything before we hit the road.
Got the bucket. Attached to my van. Can't be happier. This is the exact solution I was looking for. The quality is great and skis are super quick to load and unload. Highly recommended!
The bucket was amazing. Basically added back our third row. We then ended up with 5 skiers and one driver in the car. The bucket held 4 pairs of skiis and poles and one snowboard. So easy to have the skiiers walk by and chuck their skiis in the bucket and hop in. Great product.

I like my ChuckBucket but the mechanism to tighten the insert inside my hitch receiver does not work on my Toyota factory hitch, which allows the ChuckBucket to move around inside the hitch while driving. I wish I could eliminate the gap between the insert and the hitch receiver, which would eliminate the movement while driving. (See photos. If I a missing something, please advise so I can eliminate the slack). Last, the assembly instructions provided with the product are almost entirely useless, which is disappointing and greatly increases the time to assemble. I like this product other than these issues.

We’ve recently noticed that some newer Toyota factory hitches are shallower and shorter than previous versions, which can affect how snug any hitch-mounted accessory fits. This is something we’re actively addressing in future updates. We also appreciate the candid note on the assembly instructions — that feedback is helpful and something we’re working to improve.

Listen, the bucket's great. It's quick to assemble, holds our skis, and I don't have to climb on the roof. The company is even better. They didn't have any pictures of it mounted to a Rivian, and stopped by my house (we are local'ish) to let me test how it would work with the liftgate and tailgate. On the R1S the liftgate fully opens when the bucket is in the tilted position and the tailgate is 97% open (I just wouldn't put weight on the tailgate). Will definitely be back to buy the bike carrier as when the weather is nicer
It just works. Ski, bike, golf. Whatever your adventure, it’s ready to carry it anywhere. Back doors of Mercedes Sprinter even open when it is laid flat.
Super convenient and rock solid rack — zero movement or rattles. Easy to load up gear for the crew. Lashed four pairs of skis to the uprights and the poles to the mast with ski straps, and we're off. Tilt function works great, too, for access to the hatchback. Tesla self-driving even works with the rack installed, which is an extra bonus.
Love the Chuck bucket. It was intuitive to assemble and it is sturdy and solid. It is exactly what I was looking for to transport ski's and boards to the mountain without having to climb up on the roof. Perfect for EV's because it is positioned behind the vehicle so no to low drag which means no reduction in range. Also, it is so much easier to access for kids and short adults, everyone can get their own gear easily.

When we moved into a new home, we were disappointed to learn that our old roof racks didn't fit in the low clearance garage. The Chuck Bucket was the solution. The bucket allowed us to continue to use our garage through the winter and still transport our gear to the mountain every week. It has now been on several longer road trips and we use it to transport addition gear for summer camping trips. Great product!
Super fantastic. Very easy to mount on the trailer hitch. Will look forward not to climb up on top of the car to put skis in and take skis out of a roof carrier. Also very easy to assemble. My twelve year old that is pictured did the work.
I took this rack on a trip that exceeded my 4000 mile estimate, going just over 5000 miles. It performed very well. Had a few very minor issues in assembly, and with rack overall, but customer service was fantastic, like nothing I’ve ever experienced. These guys care!!!
Great solid construction. I was surprised how steady it travels. Also I had no idea how much better it is ergonomically for golf clubs. I have put golf clubs into truck spaces, hatchbacks, vans, and truck beds for years. It always requires reaching and bending. But with the Chuck Bucket, it is just place and strap, with an easy gate latch. This is how clubs were built to travel. Can’t wait for ski season. Jeeps were not made for hauling skis and clubs. Until now. It is an amazing solution!

Desperately waiting for the snow to get here but so far: 1) Used it to bring two tent canopies down to an ultra in RI where I was crewing - perfect fit. 2) Used it to bring me and my son's golf bags to the course - perfect fit 3) Used it when I was breaking down palettes to get the wood home. Bottom line...I am very happy. Now just need some freakin' snow.

I got the Chuck box with the bike mount as well. Both were delivered as promised. Easy to put together, easily installable and easy to use. I used my chuck bucket for the first time this weekend. It worked well! I have a side opening rear gate and something I didn't realize is that I would have to remove the entire bucket from the hitch in order to access the rear of my car. I did get a hitch extender because I also have a rear tire on the back on my suv.
Works great! Lightwieght. Easy to install and take out of the hitch reciever. Was nice to use, would highly recommend using.
1) Paper assembly instructions included with the boxes offered minimal assistance. 2) Video instructions on website for base assembly we great. 3) Video instructions on website for bucket assembly were good - but the statement about drilling holes for full tilt did not seem necessary - the only way the pin locks secure the bucket & bracket to the base is if you use the holes for the partial tilt. 4) Haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet as a hitch extender is required to clear the Bronco sasquach spare tire. That arrives in a couple days from Amazon. 5) Construction appears solid - time will tell on longevity. 6) I plan to use ski bags to keep road grime off equipment and strap them inside the bucket. 7) The website should have a video instructions for full assembly - meaning once base & bucket are assembled, include video of the two being joined together.

Great product! However, you’ve got to do something about the instructions! QR code showed an older version of the hitch, - I’m fairly capable, but holy smokes - that was way too much having to try to figure out how it should go together, not how your said to put it together.
At 70 years old, this hitch-mounted ski carrier has been an absolute game changer for me. No more climbing onto the roof or wrestling skis into the SUV. I can easily insert and remove the hitch myself, without strain or hassle. I regularly haul five pairs of skis, and it handles them effortlessly. Tilting the bucket to access the back of the vehicle is a piece of cake. I live on a dirt road with plenty of potholes, and I’m happy to say that neither the bucket nor the skis wobble—everything stays solid and secure. When I first received the bucket, one small piece was missing. I made a quick phone call and, within a few days, the part arrived. The customer service representative was extremely pleasant, helpful, and patient in answering all my questions. That kind of service really matters. Since the rubber cover is not yet available (or currently on back order), I bought five individual ski bags to keep the skis clean. While that works, it’s a bit of an ordeal putting skis in and out of the bags each time. I eventually found a simple solution by using a waterproof outdoor patio chair cover, which works perfectly for now. That said, once the official rubber cover becomes available, I will definitely be purchasing one. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with this ski carrier. It’s sturdy, well-designed, easy to use, and ideal for anyone who wants a safe, no-lifting solution—especially as we get a little older. Highly recommended.

Just received the Chuck Bucket and put it together. We haven’t installed it on back of sprinter van as waiting for ski hills-that just opened-to empty after holidays. Instructions were hard to follow on paper so we You-Tubed. Then box was easy to assemble and we found out what the belt and neoprene sleeve were used got that came with the bucket.
The shim was difficult to put in and eventually required a hammer to get the bolt through. Attaching the bucket to the hitch post is not clear in the directions, and the foam pad prevents it seating well to get the cotter pin through the bucket attachment and post. The cotter pin is still not through. The neoprene protection at the top should be prefitted so it fits better and does not look so crappy.
Assembly was good, some instruction weren’t available on the website, but David was great about sending them to me. I love how light they are. We use them for commercial use with 12 passenger vans so I don’t think we will be able to get all 12 ski and or snowboards in there. Maybe a Chuck Bucket XL could be made ? I do like the design though and look forward to starting the season with them !
